Hooters Restaurants spreads its wings to Sydney’s Shire

The globally recognised and world renowned Hooters sports themed bar and casual dining restaurant chain confirmed it will finally open its third Australian location in Cronulla NSW on Monday 28 April 2008.

Following Hooters Australia's successful launch of the Hooters brand in Parramatta Sydney in 2006 and Mermaid Beach on the Gold Coast early last year, their third location in Cronulla, Sydney's Sutherland Shire will join more than 435 Hooters restaurants in over 24 countries worldwide to become part of one of the fastest growing international restaurant chains. 

Expansion is a key focus for Hooters with local plans to open in Campbelltown and Penrith NSW, Auckland New Zealand, Brisbane and Perth by the end of 2009.  Internationally Hooters plans to open in India, Colombia, South Africa, Guam and Dubai over the next two years.

Hooters Cronulla will be located at Shop 3, 3-7 The Kingsway, Cronulla and will offer the Shire non stop sports from every angle on over 30 TV screens, ice cold beverages, rocking tunes and an open kitchen serving great value food all delivered by our own world famous Hooters Girls. The Hooters menu which has been adapted for the local Australian market will include items such the signature chicken wings, aged grain fed steaks, BBQ ribs, fresh green salads, grilled seafood and Hooters signature burger.

Over twenty girls will be trained this week by a team of Hooters Girl Trainers from Parramatta NSW, Mermaid Beach QLD and America to wear the famous white singlet and orange running shorts to work at the newest restaurant in the Australian chain. The Shire Hooters Girls will join more than 20,000 Hooters Girls worldwide in the most exciting career development opportunities in the industry and the opportunity to compete in the annual Hooters Honey Contest at Hooters Cronulla on Thursday 29 May 2008 for their chance to represent Australia in the 12th Annual Hooters International Swimsuit Pageant in Miami Florida against 120 Hooters Girls from around the world.

Hooters Cronulla will celebrate its grand opening with a preview party this Saturday night (April, 26) with local sports stars, businesses and stakeholders being invited for one of the first glimpses of Hooters Cronulla. The party will also feature photographs with the new Hooters Girls and donations going to Hooters Cronulla's charitable partner the Sylvanvale Foundation in Kirrawee NSW.
