The Hooters Girls of Hooters
Mermaid Beach were in for a treat today when NASCAR champion Dale Earnhardt Jr
popped in for a quick bite.
Earnhardt Jr, son of seven-time NASCAR champion Dale Earnhardt who was killed
in 2001 in the Daytona 500, is in his eighth season of the NASCAR Nextel Cup
driving for #8 Budweiser Chevrolet.
Earnhardt Jr is a big Hooters fan and received a warm welcome from the local
Hooters Girls at Hooters Mermaid Beach on the Gold Coast. Having judged at the
Hooters International Swimsuit Pageant in Las Vegas two years in a row, Earnhardt
Jr is no stranger to gorgeous international Hooters Girls and has a strong relationship
with Hooters of America who are the title sponsor of the USAR Hooters Pro Cup
Series.
"We were surprised but very pleased by Dale's surprise
visit, but with his strong Hooters ties he couldn’t resist popping in and sampling
Hooters Aussie style. It was like a home from home for him and he was happy
to have his photos taken with our Australian Hooters Girls" said Duncan
Lockie Manager of Hooters Mermaid Beach. Earnhardt Jr is currently nearing the end of a two week holiday in Australia,
having made a surprise visit to the final round of the V8 championship in Philip
Island earlier this month and has been overwhelmed by the Australian hospitality. |
