Gold
Coast, March 2007
The
partnership between Hooters Family Restaurants and Grove Juice Racing kicked
off to a successful beginning with Grant "Grunta" Johnson finishing
2nd on the podium at the Clipsal 500 in Adelaide on Sunday.
"I'm really excited to have brought
this result home for Hooters and Grove Juice" said the W.A based driver
"Lots of people commented this weekend about
us having Hooters on the car and if that reaction is any indication, Hooters
are in for a quite a ride in Australia"
Hooters have a long history of Motorsport success in the USA and the Grove
Juice Racing Team is proud to be carrying on that tradition in Yokohama V8 Ute
Racing Series here in Australia.
"We're thrilled to be teaming up with
Grove Juice Racing" said
Marketing Manager Julia Bayley
"Hooters Restaurants are all about having
fun in a face paced exciting environment, something the V8 Utes certainly represent"
Bayley continued
"This weekends success in Adelaide was a
great start for our partnership with GJR, the team did an awesome job"
The team
now looks forward to when they will be joined at the track by the world famous,
gorgeous, "Hooters Girls"
"We will have some of the gorgeous Hooters
Girls join us at the Wakefield Park, Eastern Creek, Queensland Raceway and Indy
Rounds of the Championship this year" stated team principal and driver
the #44 Falcon Greg "Freddy" Willis
"We know the girls are a really friendly,
fun group and we're
sure our fans and the fans of V8 Ute racing will love the chance to have a photo
and a chat with them"
Hooters Restaurants Australia is part of a worldwide network including
over 400 establishments that are designed to be a classic sports themed bar and
casual dining restaurant.
"We currently have our Flagship restaurant
open in Parramatta Western Sydney, and we are about to open in Mermaid Beach
on the Gold Coast with restaurants in Cronulla and Penrith, Sydney and Auckland
New Zealand scheduled to open by the end of this year and a further five restaurants
planned in NSW and QLD in 2008. So it’s full steam ahead for Hooters
Australia" stated
Julia
The Grove Juice Racing Team can next be seen in action at Australian Grand
Prix in Melbourne, followed 2 weeks later at Wakefield Park in NSW.
