The first Hooters restaurant to open in a decade opened
its doors in Parramatta last Friday (July, 14) at 11am.
The opening was
a huge success with eager Hooters fans waiting at the door to be one of the first
to sample the world famous chicken wings. Queues
continued throughout the weekend with more than two and a half thousand customers
sampling the Hooters experience of delicious quality food, cold beer and an up
beat atmosphere all delivered by gorgeous home grown Australian Hooters Girls.
"It's the consistent customer service
like being greeted as you walk in the door and the laid back atmosphere that
I love about Hooters" said
Peter Collimore of Narellan. Collimore has visited numerous across the
globe in the last twelve years and says Hooters Parramatta will be very successful
"its open till late and you can see television screens from every angle, it's
great".

Parramatta celebrated its grand opening with a preview party of over 250 guests
last Thursday (July, 13). Guest included the face of Hooters Australia and winner
of the Hooters Honey Contest, Michelle Hellyer, the Lord Mayor of Parramatta,
David Borger and VIP’s including
the president of the company Coby Brookes from Hooters of America in Atlanta
Georgia. The
evening included a charity auction with over $10,000 being raised for The Children's
Hospital at Westmead. Located at 132 James Ruse Drive (corner of Hassall
Street and opposite Rose Hill Race Course), Hooters Parramatta joins more than
400 locations worldwide and over 20 international countries including Germany,
England, Austria, Spain, Japan, China, Korea and others.
The globally recognized and renowned Hooters bar and restaurant
chain is set to offer Australian diners a unique experience that combines a lively
bar and open kitchen, rocking tunes and non stop sports action.
The Hooters menu has been adapted for the health conscious Australian market
to include BBQ shrimp king prawns, aged grain fed sirloin steaks, fresh green
salads and grilled tuna.
Hooters Parramatta is the first of two locations scheduled
to open this year with plans for the Gold Coast, Brisbane other Sydney suburbs
for 2007 and with such a momentus start it looks like Hooters Australia is off
and running at full speed…
