Hooters starts with a big bang!

The first Hooters restaurant to open in a decade opened its doors in Parramatta last Friday (July, 14) at 11am.
The opening was a huge success with eager Hooters fans waiting at the door to be one of the first to sample the world famous chicken wings. Queues continued throughout the weekend with more than two and a half thousand customers sampling the Hooters experience of delicious quality food, cold beer and an up beat atmosphere all delivered by gorgeous home grown Australian Hooters Girls.

"It's the consistent customer service like being greeted as you walk in the door and the laid back atmosphere that I love about Hooters" said Peter Collimore of Narellan.  Collimore has visited numerous across the globe in the last twelve years and says Hooters Parramatta will be very successful "its open till late and you can see television screens from every angle, it's great".

Hooters Parramatta celebrated its grand opening with a preview party of over 250 guests last Thursday (July, 13). Guest included the face of Hooters Australia and winner of the Hooters Honey Contest, Michelle Hellyer, the Lord Mayor of Parramatta, David Borger and VIP’s including the president of the company Coby Brookes from Hooters of America in Atlanta Georgia. The evening included a charity auction with over $10,000 being raised for The Children's Hospital at Westmead. Located at 132 James Ruse Drive (corner of Hassall Street and opposite Rose Hill Race Course), Hooters Parramatta joins more than 400 locations worldwide and over 20 international countries including Germany, England, Austria, Spain, Japan, China, Korea and others.

The globally recognized and renowned Hooters bar and restaurant chain is set to offer Australian diners a unique experience that combines a lively bar and open kitchen, rocking tunes and non stop sports action.

The Hooters menu has been adapted for the health conscious Australian market to include BBQ shrimp king prawns, aged grain fed sirloin steaks, fresh green salads and grilled tuna.

Hooters Parramatta is the first of two locations scheduled to open this year with plans for the Gold Coast, Brisbane other Sydney suburbs for 2007 and with such a momentus start it looks like Hooters Australia is off and running at full speed…
