Hooters Australia confirmed Miss Hooters Queensland 2007 Verity East from Hooters Mermaid Beach on the Gold Coast will be representing Australia in the 11th Annual Hooters International Swimsuit Pageant in Las Vegas this July.

East was crowned on Wednesday night at the first annual Hooters Honey Contest in Queensland, having competed in front of a 200 strong crowd against 13 other Hooters Girls, all vying to win the Miss Hooters Queensland title and the chance to represent Australia in the international pageant.

East will join more than 130 Hooters Girls from over 20 countries around the world competing for the Miss Hooters International title and over USD $150,000 in cash and prizes, including their place in the annual swimsuit calendar. The 11th Annual Hooters International Swimsuit Pageant will be held at the Planet Hollywood Resort Casino on Wednesday 18th July 2007.

“I’m absolutely delighted to be chosen as the first Miss Hooters Queensland and totally speechless and privileged that I have been given the opportunity to represent Hooters Australia in Las Vegas. I look forward to representing Hooters Australia and I hope I do a good job” says East.

Meanwhile Yolande Goff was crowned Miss Hooters NSW in Sydney’s second annual Hooters Honey Contest at Hooters Parramatta this May. The judges chose Goff for “her on stage presence, confident answers and her great presentation in both rounds. Yolande is a fantastic Hooters Girl and I’m confident both Verity and Yolande will be great brand ambassadors representing the Hooters brand this year” said Dah Lee Chief Operating Officer of Hooters Australia and New Zealand.

Hooters Mermaid Beach and Hooters Parramatta join more than 430 locations worldwide in over 20 international countries. Hooters Australia is scheduled to open Hooters Cronulla, Hooters Penrith and Hooters Auckland New Zealand by the end of 2007.
